I support rob bells vid cs iv seen first hand the negative impact it has on non believers. all people hear is religious condemnation and religion is what people are sick of, rob explains the Bible in a way that people can relate to & understand in a non-repulsive non-religious way though it is importand to read the Bible and listen to the Holy spirit for your own relationship & understanding of God and not only rely on the teachings of a preacher. rob bells teaching is inline with Gods Word!

your first three points are cool but your last two are pretty weak dude….it’s not hard to see that open air preaching doesn’t work, and from someone who used to do it and has been around it, i highly doubt you have many friends that have repented and put there faith in christ from it….i am for sure calling you out on that…. there a difference from preaching open air in a church parking lot with invited friends and a dude on the street corner telling repent or burn in hell

Interesting, you say you can’t take his word for it, but you take a handful of writers of the Bible word for it. You tell people why they should live the way they live only by “what the Bible says.” This doesn’t work for for the majority of people. Give people reasons why they should live like Christ, not just because “the Bible says it.” I can’t think of a more illogical statement by itself. Use proper logical arguments to make points. Oh, one more thing, the Scripture IS emotion. Experience it

Where does the scripture say it is emotion??The Bible is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword- Hebrews 4:12Jesus said “it is written”, Paul said “preach the word”, the Bible is alive with power to convert the sinner, not some flemsy excuse to be emotional. Emotionalism is what led Eve to sin in the garden. It led Samson to get his eyes burned out.It led Peter to deny christ.Ect. ect. I hope you study to show yourself approved to God who needs not be ashamed!

So what exactly “approves” us to God? Is it an action or a mental state? Is is doing good works or simply believing in Him? Don’t deny that the Bible is full of emotional cries to God (in a good way).

1 Timothy says that the bible is God breath and is sufficient for teaching and correcting.
