Is There A Noticeably Visual And Or Audio Difference Between The Sony Kdl40-xbr6 Vs The Kdl40-40z4100b?

im wondering if I really see or hear the difference. IM not sure which model to buy Sony, but I would not spend more than $ 1800 and do not go bigger than a 42''. mainly to its going to be used for my 360 and cable TV. I never had an HDTV before I'm not sure where to draw the line between price and outstanding quality. . . PLEASE HELP ME !?!?!?!

Not really, both are 120 Hz refresh rate, which is more important in the application you are using it in….
Quality wise the Z series is very very close to the XBR series….so close that the only real difference might be the video processor itself.
Like one uses a Xilleon and the other uses a Trident…
But YOU won’t see a real difference on games….

You will not find any differences in picture quality between these two TVs. I have seen them operate side-by-side as well as I have poured over their specifications. Many customers have asked what the difference is between these two models other than about $500.00 in price, but I have only been able to find two differences:
    1) The XBR6 has one additional speaker; a woofer for a slightly better sound quality, though no HDTV has great sound quality.
    2) The XBR will allow you to directly change the channel on the smaller, sub-picture when using PIP. The “Z” requires that you first swap the sub-picture to the primary/active picture before you can change the channel.
Save yourself some money and purchase the very capable KDL_40Z4100! The $500.00 savings would be better spent on a Home Theater system than on the XBR6.
